[Permit Applications]

There are currently two main permit application forms approved by the Division of Natural Resources. They include the Water Use Permit application form and the Well Drilling Permit application form.  There is a non-refundable $25 permit application fee for each permit requested.  Completed permit application forms and applicable fee payments can be submitted in person, through the U.S. mail\package delivery services such as UPS, Fed-Ex, etc.

At present, all non-emergency water uses and all water well drilling activities are permitted under the above-two application forms. However, permit types will be expanded in the future to meet more specific water use and well drilling requirements.

Additionally, if there is a water use emergency, such as a wildland fire, the Water Code Administration Office can be contacted directly about the possible issuance of an emergency permit. Call 928-729-4132.
